I am an Associate Professor in Physics in the School of Physics and Astronomy at the University of Southampton.
I studied Chemistry (BSc) and Materials Science (MSc) at the University of São Paulo in Brazil, and I got my PhD in Physics in 2018 at the Politecnico di Milano and Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia in Italy. I then moved to the UK where I worked at the University of Oxford as a postdoctoral researcher until 2022.
I like small crystals, bright lasers, and short pulses!
I am a Post-doc Research Fellow at University of Southampton.
I studied Physics (MS) from California State University Northridge, and I got my PhD in Physics from University of Luxembourg in 2024 where I focus on understanding charge carrier dynamics and recombination mechanism in perovskites using steady-state as well as Time-resolved Photoluminescence Spectroscopy. My interest lies instrumentations of setups, shooting lasers at materials and Image them to understand their practical properties.
Here at UoS, I will be focusing on 2D perovskites and exploring their vibrations properties using ultrafast spectroscopy.
I am currently a PhD student under the supervision of Dr. Silvia Motti at the University of Southampton.
I completed my Master of Science (MSc) from Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, India. I have research expertise in utilizing Physical Vapor Deposition (PVD) techniques to enhance the properties of chalcogenide thin films for solar cell applications.
Currently, I am delving into the charge carrier dynamics of solar cells employing lasers.
I am a PhD student at the University of Southampton studying under Dr Silvia Motti in the School of Physics and Astronomy.
I graduated in physics (MPhys) at the University of Surrey in 2022 where I found my interest in the field of experimental solid state physics. I completed a research year designing and simulating novel photonic devices for application in telecommunications technology and started my PhD journey in 2024.
I will be looking into the complex interactions of photons, charges, and vibrations in crystal latices to gain a better understanding of solar cell performance.
I am a PhD student under the supervision of Dr Silvia Motti at the University of Southampton.
I studied Physics with Nanotechnology (MPhys) at the University of Southampton, completing my master’s project on the optical characterisation of colloidal perovskite nanocrystals. Continuing this, I began my PhD in 2025, looking to investigate the synthesis of colloidal perovskite nanocrystals, as well as integrate them with cavity structures, with the goal of optimising them to use as single photon emitters for quantum technologies.
